Club sport isn't enough on its own.
Club training is built to win games: skills, drills and match play. What it rarely builds is the base underneath: the strength, speed and landing mechanics that keep young athletes on the field.
Kids who play one sport all year are also more exposed to overuse injuries. Broad, general training builds the strength and coordination that carries into everything they play.
- Game skills
- Tactics & set plays
- Match fitness
- Team selection
- Strength & power
- Speed & acceleration
- Landing & change of direction
- Injury resilience
Nobody lifts heavy until they've earned it.
Every athlete moves through the same three stages. It’s the core rule of CrossFit Kids: quality of movement before load and intensity. It’s how our athletes get strong without getting hurt.
Move well
Learn the positions
Bodyweight, PVC pipe, sprinting, jumping and landing. They master the squat, hinge and press, and how to land and change direction safely.
Where every athlete starts
Move well every time
Own the positions
Technique that holds up when they’re tired and moving fast. Light dumbbells, kettlebells and med balls come in, in small steps, only when form stays solid.
Consistency before intensity
Go fast & heavy
Train like an athlete
Coached barbell strength, power and conditioning for teens who’ve earned it. Every lift supervised, and the smallest possible jumps in weight.
By invitation from the coaches
There’s always a next goal. Athletes know exactly what they’re working toward, and earning the bar means something.
Is strength training safe for kids? Here are the facts.
The myth that lifting is bad for kids is over a century old. Modern sports science says otherwise, when it’s properly coached.
Growth plate injuries
reported in supervised youth strength training studies.
on how tall they grow
There’s no evidence resistance training stunts growth.
body weight on landing
in sport. Supervised strength training causes fewer injuries than the game itself.

Will lifting stunt their growth?
No. There’s no evidence that properly coached resistance training affects height, and no growth plate injuries have been reported in supervised youth studies.
Will it clash with club training?
Pick the days that fit around their club nights. [We adjust training load in-season. Confirm.]
Which group suits my child?
We place athletes by maturity and ability, not just age. We’ll work it out together at the trial.
Can I stay and watch?
Absolutely. Come see how the coaching works up close.
What if they haven't found their sport yet?
If they want to get better at something, they’ll fit right in. Every session is scaled to where they’re at.
Is this after-school care?
No. This is training for kids who want to get better. If that’s your kid, we’d love to meet them.
Give them the edge before next season.
Term 4 spots are open. First class is free, no obligation.
