It’s such an amazing time for you and your family, as you settle into new routines.
As you move into your routine, you will be constantly nagged with the thoughts of “getting back in shape” and yes this is important for your mental and physical wellbeing however this is something you don’t need to rush, as your body heals and recovers from the exhaustion of labour and delivery.
My name is Rebecca Slater or Bec, I’m a mother of 5, yep 5 beautiful children 11, 10, 8, 5 and 2 and for the past 2 years I’ve been actively helping mums stay active during pregnancy and postnatally helped them recover and return safely and confidently into their busy lives.
It was through my own experiences that my passion grew for helping mums get their body back postnatal.
All 5 of my pregnancy and births were completely different, throughout them I think I had every different challenge/condition out there, pelvic instability, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, abdominal separation, hypothyroidism, sickness every day with one of them, the list goes on. Understanding that all these challenges/conditions are all too common and trying to find that place that specialises in postnatal women my passion grew.
Knowing that for myself through and after my pregnancies there wasn’t a program out there that caters for all our needs, a program that delivers much more than just another mums and babies class. The dedicated team at PerFit and myself have created just that Baby Steps.
Our unique program Baby Steps offers you the knowledge and support with our team of highly professional coaches. Before starting you will sit down with a coach in a private and confidential consultation, to give us a full understanding of you and develop your customised program to get you moving forward safely.
Through the 8 week program, it’s designed to work with you on;
- Mental Wellbeing – dealing with anxiety, depression and PND
- Pelvic floor strength
- Abdominal separation – (Diastasis Recti)
- Increased energy
- Overall health and fitness
The 8 week program begins when you’re ready, no need to wait for the next cycle to start. We run 2 sessions a week, where you will progress through your tailored program under the watchful eyes of our passionate coaches. This ensures you progress safely and effectively. These are child friendly sessions that run on a Monday and Wednesday 9:30-10:30am.
Program numbers are capped at 8 to ensure the highest level of care for mums.
